Cape Cod Shopping
Cape Cod -- buzzing between Memorial Day and Labor Day -- harbors boatloads of shopping options, some seasonal, some year around. Hyannis' Cape Cod Mall, on Route 28, is anchored by Filene's, Macy's, and Sears, with more than 100 other retailers from Eddie Bauer to Victoria's Secret. Lemon Tree Village, a bi-level shopping complex, has more than a dozen shops for gourmet cookware, pottery, jewelry, toys, arts, and crafts. The longest shopping district is Route 6, also known as the Olde King's Highway, dotted with shops along 34 miles from Bourne passing through Sandwich, Barnstable, Yarmouth, Dennis Brewster and Orleans. Other districts include main streets of communities like Hyannis, Chatham, and Provincetown. Reminiscent of a traditional New England village, Mashpee Commons, on Route 28, has more than 90 stores including Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Chico's, and Williams-Sonoma. Sagamore's Cape Cod Factory Outlet Mall, on Route 6, has more than 20 stores including Izod, Carter's and Van Heusen. Flea, green, and outdoor markets include Orleans Farmers' Market, Satucket Farm Stand, Village Market Farm Stand, and Wellfleet Flea Market on grounds of a drive-in theater.
